SECTION 10 - LOCATION DATA for EABC PROVIDER SERVICES
When you use EABC PROVIDER SERVICES application as a service provider or handyman, we may collect your device’s precise or approximate location, including latitude and longitude. We collect it only when you grant location permission and use a feature that needs it.
How we use location
1-Nearby booking offers and dispatch: When you turn on your availability, we may collect your current location and send it to EABC SERVICES so we can determine which nearby booking requests or offers are relevant to you.
2-Background dispatch: If both your availability and auto-dispatch are turned on, the app may collect and send location updates while the app is minimized or the device screen is off. This lets us match you with nearby bookings. Background updates stop when availability or auto-dispatch is turned off, location permission is revoked, or the feature otherwise stops operating.
3-Booking tracking: When location tracking is enabled for an active booking, we may send your location in connection with that booking so the relevant customer can view your provider location or progress in the tracking feature.
4-Location-based address selection: If you choose to use your current location when selecting or entering a service or shop address, we use that location to help identify the address you selected.
Who receives location data Location data is sent to EABC SERVICES servers and may be accessed by personnel authorized to operate, support, and protect the service. When tracking is enabled for an active booking, the relevant customer may receive or view the location information needed for that booking. We may also use service providers that host or operate our app, backend, or mapping/address features; those providers process data on our behalf as needed to provide those services. We may disclose data where required by law or to protect the service and its users.
How long we keep it
We retain location data as necessary for service and booking purposes, and you may request deletion of applicable data at any time through our Data Deletion Request page, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Your choices You can deny or revoke location permission in your device settings and can turn off availability or auto-dispatch in the app. If you do, nearby dispatch, background matching, or booking-tracking features that depend on location may not work.
